Founder & Chief of Operations
It is said that your rewards in life will be directly in proportion to the value of your service to others. There could be no better statement than that which describes Nahid Akter. As the CEO and founder of Optify, Nahid leverages over two decades of healthcare administrative experience to lead and grow the organization. She is a dynamic leader and consultant with strong financial and operational expertise. Throughout her career, she has established herself as an innovator, optimizer, and energized leader of strong teams. Because of her proven track record of success, Nahid has earned the respect of her clients and industry peers alike.
She was raised in an environment which instilled in her a strong character, impeccable ethics, and a drive for excellence. She took those qualities and earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from Herbert Lehman College and her Executive Leadership Certification from eCornell. She quickly started building her career in healthcare administration working as a consultant with such distinguished organizations as FREE, TSINY, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and Brunswick Hospital. Nahid has also been deeply involved with several healthcare start-ups, most notably Talkiatry. Her passions are centered on efficiencies and optimization of the highest quality patient care in every type of clinical setting.
Her vision of the future of healthcare is ensuring that organizations focus on the delivery of the highest levels of patient care in hospitals, private practice, and behavioral/mental health practices. Because of her vision of excellence and willingness to change the future, she wants to succeed as a consultant and be an advocate driving the future of healthcare delivery.
In her free time, she is a loving wife and devoted mother. Nahid enjoys everything outdoors, including running, biking, kayaking, and hiking. She is also the proud fur baby mom to her English Bulldog Rocco.
